EGA delivered the Glazing scope for The Standard at Columbia, a premier 17-story off-campus housing community serving the University of South Carolina. Spanning 45,000 square feet of glazing, the project included a continuous window wall system and 1,165 punched windows, establishing a striking, modern aesthetic.

Despite facing post-COVID material delays, including extended extrusion lead times, EGA adapted its approach to keep the project moving forward. Additionally, the team had to mobilize four months behind schedule, requiring efficient resource allocation and strategic problem-solving to maintain the delivery timeline.

Through expert craftsmanship and disciplined execution, EGA successfully completed the glazing scope on time, contributing to a standout architectural addition to Columbia’s skyline. This achievement earned the 2024 Excellence in Construction Award, recognizing EGA’s ability to deliver high-quality, innovative building envelope solutions despite industry challenges.
