SCAD Residence Hall

Peoples Choice Awards
EGA delivered the glazing scope for SCAD Indian Street Residence Hall, the tallest building in Savannah, GA. Standing 17 stories high, this striking residence hall redefines modern student living while offering panoramic views of the Savannah River and Historic Downtown.

Innovative Design &
High-Performance Glazing

The project’s expansive glazing system was designed to enhance both aesthetics and functionality, with large-format glass panels maximizing natural light. On the 17th floor, jumbo glass panels reaching 13 feet in height were integrated into a two-sided structurally glazed (SSG) system, creating a sleek, modern finish.

Overcoming Installation Challenges

Conventional glazing installation methods were not feasible due to limited openings and the building’s height. EGA implemented specialized equipment and techniques to precisely maneuver and secure the panels, ensuring a flawless execution despite logistical constraints.

Through technical expertise and commitment to innovation, EGA successfully delivered a complex glazing solution that elevates both the building’s design and performance. This achievement was recognized with the 2025 Guardian Glass People’s Choice Award, celebrating EGA’s excellence in craftsmanship and architectural impact.
